New Fencing Tackle
Clive Houdley of DCH Farm Sales, is an established Borders farmer, and is always looking for innovative solutions to farming problems. He’s known for his award-winning design, the Scotpen mobile sheep pen. Recognising the need for good advice and quality equipment in his area, he carefully selected French manufacturer Rabaud and became their local agent.
Rabaud has manufactured agricultural, landscape and garden equipment in France for over twenty-five years, and like Clive, they’re known for their innovation. Their latest fencing product deals with the issues of handling multiple strands of wire at the same time, tensioning and stapling.
The Rabaud Barbed Wire and Netting Machine (automatic linkage category N°2) has a hydraulic offset allowing the barbed wire to be well lined up in accordance with the posts, a loading stand for setting the barbed wire coils (up to 500m) and a handy tool chest. It can set two, three, four and five rows in one pass and the light (2.9kg fully loaded) air nailing pistol unlocks only when touching the post. The tension sprocket wheels are fitted with brakes allowing a separate tension. Overall this machine’s design offers increased convenience, productivity and safety in fencing.
